I knew Figaro Coffee since they became one of the brand partners for a rewards program from a telco plus their being proud to be a Filipino-based cafe + company and usually, I am usually having the place as of my fave hang-outs when in need of a coffee and snack in between writing for possible smartphone reviews.
This time I took for a lil spin as it was my first time to check a branch in the province which is they called "the progressive gateway to Batangas and soon-to-be-a-city Sto. Tomas
The place is very strategic as it is just within around other establishments inside The Lifestyle Strip, beside the highway and quite near to one of the known loading/unloading zones when you are about to go there or even to catch some bus rides to Lucena, Batangas Pier and other provinces - Sto. Tomas Public Market. More about Figaro, they existed as early as 1993. Figaro's name was inspired from the song Opera: Barber of Seville as the owners want to have a highly recognized name but not-the-usual thing and their first branch? It only started as letter F to make more mysterious and it is located in Glorietta based on their official site .
When I entered the branch for the first time, I love the ambience and their variety of tables to choose from plus there's a so called VIP room for bigger number of guests. I chose the table which is perfect for my height and also to do some working snack with my trusty laptop
I found out from one of their staff that the branch is a franchise-based store but it does not bother me at all as still felt the warmth and the variety of food and drinks to choose from. Aside from their coffee choices, glad to know that they serve all-day breakfast and lunch
For a change as I need something cold, I chose iced latte and some big pieces of Blueberry Muffins. I did not say it but I am happy that the initiative was there that they made it warm before they brought it on my table
Unlike on other coffee chains, their iced latte literally has more to drink than others who are trying to fool us by putting in a lot of ice and the blueberry, that really made my tummy and soul full with the muffin itself and real blueberry bits and sauce at the center. Just right as I was about to go to Batangas City. Figaro is championing the local barako coffee so that's why on that single regular-sized cup, I got that caffeine fix that I needed to be awake until the wee hours of the following day.
Talking about promos and rewards? There are some that you can also catch on other Figaro branches but there is one exclusive promo at the said branch. Right now until December 31 2018, you can have their Trio De Queso Ensaymada with choices of Brewed Coffee or Hot Chocolate for Php 99. That's a perfect snack duo indeed.
More rewards and promos? You can choose between Figaro Rewards Card (which you can avail by buying a minimum Php 500 purchase and pay Php 150 for card, no expiry) to get 10% off on the menu for a minimum purchase of Php 200 or diving in the smartphone age which for me, delivers more - Figaro mobile app. Right now, they are only about 500+ downloads on Google Play but as their ongoing offer, those who will download until they reach 1000 downloads, they will gonna get 50 rewards points which converted to 50 pesos which you can use to pay with the provided QR code. The app also serves as your mobile e-wallet as you can load it via Visa/Mastercard. As you will pay thru the app, you will be getting rewards points and their ongoing promo until October 15, 2018 - you will gonna get 25% off on all hot drinks. Aside from it, the app also has a store directory to search the nearest Figaro branch depending on your GPS location
I must say, Figaro is gonna be my new fave cafe hang-out right now with their variety of food and coffee choices, supporting a Filipino brand and also getting more value on my money thru their rewards card and mobile app. You can check their website at www.figarocoffee.com, follow their IG @figarocoffee and thru facebook.com/figarocoffeecompany
