We were not there at its recent media meeting but the fun was better earlier in Honor Club Philippines event as we had a chance to check their latest two budget Android devices after their following on the Honor 9 Lite
This is first from an international brand to put in a promising Mediatek MT6739 64-bit quad-core processor, Honor 7S. In case you need it, the specs of the said handset is here
Here is the front view of the smartphone with it's 5.45 inch HD+ display. As I am currently reviewing with another phone with almost the same display size and ratio, I am not surprised for a good reason for it's potential one-hand navigation. With EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, you are at home if you are coming from a Huawei or another Honor phone
Here's the rear view of the phone which has a matte finish but be surprised if I gonna compare it later with the Honor 7A. There's a lil camera bump in here
Here are the rest of the sides of the phone which is like we used to, dual SIM and micro SD on tray at the left, volume rocker and power/unlock button at the right, 3.5 mm audio jack at the top and micro USB, single speaker at the bottom
Honor 7S looks like more for the rugged people with the matte finish at the back and not that shiny yet round sides.
As we had a short time for this hands-on, I jumped right in for the camera samples. Pretty plain output for this budget smartphone which is not bad but I can attest that Honor 9 Lite looks better on pics than on this one. Image processing time is quite fast

Honor 7S is currently on sale for now thru Shopee Philippines at Php 5,490 but it will be rolled out soon thru select offline stores. I wonder what will be the edge if to compare with another MT6739-powered phone from a local brand but with a small Php 500 price margin
