They had a teaser of it almost two months with their recent meeting with Mediatek. Now, we got one of the first three Android Oreo Go Editions from a local tech brand
Two of those are the P3 Lite and P3 Plus but we got the standard, Cherry Mobile Flare P3 with that Google certified badge
As it is on the budget side, no surprise that CM had the Flare P3 made from plastic body but there are something new to check out that I love this new form factor of 5.5 inch HD display in 18:9 display which is pleasing for one-hand navigation. The front portion also has 5 MP front camera and the pre-applied screen guard
The back portion has 13 MP main cam with flash and fingerprint sensor plus Cherry Mobile logo. As expected, the back cover is removable. Underneath is dual nano SIM (quite a first too in these under 5k smartphones), micro SD and 2,400 mAh removable battery
Nothing to check on the left side as you can see micro USB port at the top, volume rocker and power button at the right and microphone (looks like it's speaker) and that single speaker at the bottom
Usual essentials in the box with micro USB to USB cable, 5V 1.2 A charger and user manual. Like what we saw in the Flare S6 and Selfie Two, the brand did not include a protective case
It is also our first dibs in terms of real time usage on if we can survive with this as a main driver together with Android Go apps like Gmail Go, Youtube Go and Maps Go. Check out on this site soon on our review.
