Vivo X21 Unboxing And Review

First, it was introduced in China and India. Now it's Philippines to meet the first smartphone with under-display fingerprint sensor

We have the Vivo X21 and here is the box itself in front and back portions

The beauty of what you can get inside of the box with the leaflet, sim ejector pin, earbuds and 9V 2A charger which fires up that dual engine fast charging experience

The back has dual 12 + 5 MP main cameras and Vivo logo. Unlike in the case of the black Vivo V9, no more fingeprint magnet in here

It is a different set-up this time with 3.5 mm audio jack at the top. Single speaker, old school micro USB port and hybrid dual SIM tray at the bottom (you may chose not to put in a micro SD as it has 128 GB internal storage

Within the review period, I had one huge OTA update which inproved the under-display fingerprint sensor at the bottom part of the screen. Unlike in a physical keyboard, you must have a lil force (in local language, "konting diin") to have it properly. Good thing, you can use it without pushing the power/unlock button

The UI is the same as we seen from Vivo V9 with their latest Funtouch OS so no stranger for us in terms of navigation but faster thanks to it's Snapdragon 660 processor plus 6 GB RAM inside. The 19:9 FHD+ Super AMOLED display also gives that punchy colors.

Vivo X21 passed by flying colors in the connectivity department from calls, texts, mobile data, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and OTG support.

On battery, the X21 gave us an impressive 18 hours and 5 minutes in video battery rundown test. As I had it in heavy usage, I got in around 1.75 days in average.

Vivo X21 parades dual 12 (f/1.8) + 5 MP (f/2.4) rear cameras and 12 MP selfie camera. Yup, some of you might gonna compare it with that 24 MP Vivo V9 camera but not a letdown in terms of quality either on auto and also almost in portrait mode.

Vivo X21 has the body, image quality, the new technology that they brought in and the processor that I am lovin but I cannot give a complete score yet as we are about to witness the official pricing of it later at the launch but we expect an update on what we can give in. The only thing that you will be missing out is the fingerprint sensor, FM radio and with that cutting-edge tech they a bit old school with the micro USB port so expect an update on this

Update: Vivo X21 official price in the Philippines is at Php 29,999 . Based on India price of around 28k, you might consider its pricing for the new tech on fingerprint sensor, larger storage and and a lot better SoC compared to Vivo V9 but some might gonna accept it with a phone with the same power at under 22k and two flagship phones just very near to its pricing. It's gonna be 3.75 out of 5 for me on Vivo X21
