Starmobile Improves Aftersales Service with Star Phone and E-Warranty Apps

Sarmobile, the phone brand of Philippine telecommunications group Star Telecom Alliance Resources, Inc. (STAR, Inc.), continues to improve on its aftersales services as it introduces “Star Phone” by One Smart Star Network (http://onesmartstar.com/) and its own E-Warranty app in select Android smartphone units.

“We are launching the Star Phone and Starmobile E-Warranty apps to make customer service more convenient for our users,” said Ardie Balderrama, Sales and Marketing Head of Starmobile. “These applications allow us to deliver efficient and more personal aftersales service online, offline, and in stores.”

Star Phone allows users to access a menu of Starmobile services by simply keying in *7827 (*STAR) on their phone’s dialer. The app eliminates the need to memorize phone numbers, websites, and social media accounts as it lays out all possible contact points in one screen.

The E-Warranty app which was developed by the company’s own app team allows users to register their devices’ warranty online for faster support in Starmobile service centers. The app enables customers to avail of aftersales services in authorized outlets even if they have lost their official receipts or physical warranty cards.

To avoid fraud or double registration, all units will be registered into the E-Warranty system with the help of Starmobile’s sales personnel. Only units with a corresponding code unique to the sales personnel will be honored by the system.

Star Phone and the Starmobile E-Warranty is currently available out-of-the-box in selected UP- and PLAY-series smartphone. Both apps will be present in all future Starmobile Android devices.

Six Years Strong and Growing

Established in 2011, Starmobile is the mobile devices division of Star Telecom Alliance Resources, Inc. (STAR, Inc.). It is founded by telco industry experts with extensive experience in retail and product development.

The company prides itself in being able to diversify its portfolio and adapt to the ever-changing telecommunications landscape. In 2016 it introduced mobile accessories brand JUMPU, at the same time it was appointed as a Philippine distributor for global networking brand TP-LINK.
