It was a year ago when I had a G phone from LG. With a brand new approach in campaign by tapping a known global K-Pop group and another brand new technology to check, here is our first dibs on the LG G7 Thin Q
The one that I checked in these pics was the black color version. The specs of the official Philippine version of this device can be found here. Here are all the sides of the phone
In terms of form factor and construction, it was a plus for me over the previous model which is LG G6. It was more classy this time. Yes, it was still prone to fingerprint smudges but not as easy as to likes of S9 and the very delicate P20 flagship duo
LG G7 had a lil tweak on their LG UI based on Android 8.1 Oreo with some additions including their super bright display which is 1000:1. Even at 100% brightness, you can double tap the brightness icon so that you can unlock the boosted brightness which will last up to 3 minutes but not all apps can support that.
The phone can support Google Lens and AI cam which like in the gameplay of their competitors, the feature enhances the color of the object or the scenario of what you are trying to shoot in 19 different modules. I skipped that for now as I am glad that the manual photo and video have more controls this time including some when you chose those wide angle cameras. In pro photo mode, it can go as slow as 30 seconds and ISO up to 3200. The front camera can also do protrait mode which based on the camera sample that I had, it did well.
