A few months ago, we had an unboxing of this comeback phone by Nokia by HMD Global but it was the Chinese version. After that, we finally had a chance to play with it's global version.
Here is the global version of Nokia 6 (2017) and another unboxing
Not that much difference in terms of the entire package.
I will gonna skip my comments on the physical looks as I already mentioned it in the previous blog post but I had a second look and definitely is a con for me, that the hybrid dual SIM slot and micro SD slot was in plastic. A concern for me as it might gonna easily break and I am not sure on the possible replacement problem that will arise there. Same with the Chinese version, you need to install first a 3rd-party file manager.
On connectivity, Nokia continues the tradition to ace on this departmen. Calls, texts, WiFi, mobile, Bluetooth were a-ok except that it was not that accurate on GPS.
For the benchmarks, here are the screenshots:

On battery even that Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 was at 28 nm and 3,000 mAh battery, Nokia 6 (2017) managed to go at under 12 hours in our video battery rundown test. Used it as my main driver, I can manage to use it for a whole day with around 5 1/2 hours of screen on time and mixed usage.
On camera department, no differences at all from both the China and global release with no pro mode and the same UI. If you more into auto mode, Nokia 6 (2017) works pretty good in almost in all of the lighting conditions that I experienced. Not that much in the number of MPs on it's front camera but the device had done a-ok too plus the wide angle that they provided

Over half a year ago after it had it's official announcement locally, Nokia 6 (2017) was still on it's Php 11,990 which is not that good already considering that you only add a few thousand pesos and you will gonna get a bigger and 18:9 display from other global brands plus a bit better on the processor side. From it's body that it is quite solid, I think it was a mistake from them that they opted to put in a sim card x micro SD slot tray made of plastic. Camera, almost stock Android, battery and well rounded qualities of a basic smartphone user will be the wow factors of Nokia 6 (2017) will do (even though the 2018 Nokia 6 is just on the horizon). I think Nokia Philippines must have a little price adjustment to this smartphone. I will gonna give 3.75 out of 5 for the Nokia 6 (2017)
