This year, he comes a little closer to home—the Samsung Galaxy Studio, that is.
After dinnertime on November 17, Jose Mari Chan dropped by the Samsung Galaxy Studio in Bonifacio High Street to check out the different experience booths himself. When people began to gather to take a peek in the store and find out what the buzz was all about, Jose Mari Chan broke into a song and serenaded the crowd with his famous Christmas songs once again. What was initially an unsuspecting visit to the Galaxy Studio turned into a mini concert, with the people also singing every word to his songs. More than that, over a hundred gifts from Samsung were given away to lucky visitors that night as a way to give thanks for the great year that has been.
“There is really no one else who can make Filipinos feel Christmas other than Jose Mari Chan with his classic Christmas songs that we now hold dear to us, and seeing how well people received our surprise to them last year, we decided to do it again this year at the Galaxy Studio. It’s just perfect because we’re also able to give something in return to the ones who have been supporting us and visiting the studio,” says Nio Judalena, Marketing Head for IT and Mobile of Samsung Philippine Corporation.
The new Samsung Christmas Cheers jingle was also played for the first time on the same night, officially announcing the promos that Samsung offers this Christmas season.
