One of two 207 high-end phones of Google is now here in the country as I had a chance to do some quick check on the new Google Pixel 2
In case that you may need the specs, you can check the link here
The box comes with a 5V/9V 2A travel charger (although there were some rumors of that untrue output), USB Type C to 3.5 mm. audio jack (which only works on the Pixel 2 so kindly keep it with extra care), USB Type C to regular USB converter, manual and cables
Here is the front view of the phone with that moving default wallpaper. The Full HD display was one of the best that I've seen. Coz it is a Pixel 2 phone, stock Android 8.0 Oreo is expected on this one with some changes on navigating the app drawer
The back cover has a combination of that glossy feel at the upper part and metal on the bottom. I was not able to see the first Pixel so it was definitely a delight when I saw this one in terms of refreshing looks for a smartphone
Here are the rest of the sides
And here are some benchmarks
Before I dug on the cameras, I had some god thing on it's audio via the Type C to audio jack converter which it has DAC inside. Pretty solid for my taste with the rigt tuning of highs and lows
The camera was quite simple as it reminds me of the latest from Moto smartphones. No pro mode here as you will rely mainly on auto mode. The portrait mode is only available at the back cam which I checked that it only worked best when you shoot a pic of a person, not on other things. I was inside of that bit dark corner of the place so it was a good acid test for a bit of low light photography. Image processing speeds are very good on both cameras
