Sony Xperia XZ1 First Impressions, Camera Samples, Possible Release Date Revealed

After  over two weeks since it's media launch (we did not score an invite on this one), I grabbed an opportunity this time just like what happened before

Set in a place in Circuit Makati was the consumer launch (but still by invitation) of the new Sony Xperia XZS which is the country's first with Android 8.0 Oreo plus the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor in the mix. You can see the rest of the specs in my previous blog post here

Sony Mobile Philippines officials were proud that it was made from one piece of aluminum which means seamless design and lighter when you hold it on one hand. The OmniBalance design continues on the Xperia XZ1 with the front camera, capacitive buttons and Sony logo at the front.

The back portion with the back camera plus the Motion Eye sensor which gives more details to your taken photo or video. The 960 fps HD video capture continues here

The right part has volume rocker, fingerprint reader integrated in the power/unlock button and their signature physical shutter button for those who really loves to use it's camera

The left portion has sim and micro SD hidden at that compartment there

The top has 3.5 mm. audio jack with Hi-Res audio support....

and the bottom has USB Type C 3.1 and pin hole microphone. Because of that security thing, I was not able to check if the Xperia XZ1 has USB OTG support

There's almost no changes in the UI of the phone with some little modifications that you may not notice but Sony continues to bring in that light and easy mobile usage.

The camera UI is almost the same with superior auto, video and manual mode. For a Sony flagship, it is a given that it can support 4K video capture at 30 fps but I am sad that the front cam can only shoot at Full HD. Yes, the superior auto is a-ok but the image processing time, I am expecting to be faster by half a second. The manual mode has the 5 key features but not totally comprehensive has the shutter speed only has 1/4000 to 1 second

By the way, here are the camera samples

Sony Xperia XZ1 rear camera sample

Sony Xperia XZ1 front camera sample

Sony Xperia XZ1 just finished it's pre-order last September 30. There's still some fresh news for you to deliver as Sony Mobile PH officials revealed that they targetting October 27, 2017 for it's release date. Sony Xperia XZ1 is priced in the Philippines for Php 39,990
