Alongside with the by-invitation consumer launch of Sony Xperia XZ1 recently, Sony Philippines also showcased the bigger brother of their Sony Xperia XA1 which is about to be released for the Philippine market.
Meet the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus
Front: 8 MP selfie cam with f/2.0 aperture, Sony logo, 5.5 inch IPS Full HD display
Back: 23 MP PDAF main cam with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash Xperia logo, non-removable back cover
Internals: 2.3 GHz Mediatek Helio P20 octa-core processor with Mali-T880MP2 GPU, Android 7.0 Nougat, LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, GPS, 4 GB RAM (lucky for the Philippines as it also has the 3 GB RAM version in other countries), 32 GB ROM, micro SD up to 256 GB RAM, 3,430 mAh built-in Li-ioN battery.
The left has dual nano SIM tray with insertion for micro SD while at the right, it has volume rocker, fingerprint reader integrated in power/unlock button and physical camera shutter button
The top has 3.5 mm. audio jack while at the bottom, it has the single speaker and USB Type C port. If one of the sales team were right, it also has USB OTG support.
The same UI story goes with what I saw earlier on the smaller Xperia XA1 except that for the shaded Android control buttons. Almost no bloat apps except on the Playstation app.
The camera UI is a mix from what I saw on the XZ1 and the XA1 no nothing new to check here. If to compare with the image processing speed, this one has half a second faster than the XA1.

As of this time, there is still no info yet on the official SRP of Sony Xperia XA1 Plus as same with the Xperia XZ1, they are targetting it for release this October 27. For sure, the Xperia XA1 Plus will be a bit more expensive than the smaller XA1
