OPPO F5 just had it's formal introduction to the Philippine market and it was not complete for us without some hands-on.
Front: 20 MP single selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, 6 inch IPS FHD+ (1080 x 2160) display resolution on 18:9 aspect ratio (pre-applied screen guard is also visible)
Back: 16 MP rear camera with flash & f/1.8 aperture, OPPO branding, rear fingerprint reader
Internals: Mediatek MT6763 octa-core processor with Mali-G71 GPU, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3,200 mAh battery
We already saw this particular set-up in a number of OPPO handsets. The top has noise-cancelling mic while at the bottom, it was fully-packed with 3.5 mm. audio jack, OTG-capable micro USB port, pin hole mic and single firing speaker
The left portion has volume buttons while at the right, it has dual nano SIM and dedicated micro SD slot in one tray and power/unlock button
I never saw the complete packaging of the OPPO F5 but in the essentials, they have the hard protective case (not the ones from the F3 series), micro USB to USB cable, user manual, sim ejector tool, earphones and 5V 2A travel charger.
In terms of the overall looks thanks to it's given 18:9 display aspect ratio, it was easier to do one-hand navigation of this one over the F3. The display is beautiful just like in the number of OPPO phones that I handled. I noticed that the brand had curved corners on it's display.
As I previously experienced the OPPO A71, there were almost no learning curve for me in doing some navigation on the new OPPO F5 with the brand new notification window and the pull-up control center. As they continue to pave their way as a selfie expert due for our limited time, I jumped right in the camera which has the same UI and camera features that I saw on the OPPO F3 series from auto, panorama, beauty mode, the one-tap up to 2x zoom and pro mode too. The only difference that I noticed (mainly coz of the display aspect ratio) were the bigger black borders for mode selection as well as the space for the shutter button. Good to know when I checked it on engineering mode, it has band 28 a.k.a. 700 MHz LTE band support

Aside from the new ColorOS version, their first with 18:9 display and relatively new processor - the curiosity is high for us on the upcoming OPPO F5. The price of it as well as the release date will be up soon in our launch event blog post.
