International DOTA 2 tournaments are getting bigger and bigger. After the country already hosted one a few months, that looks like it gave some attention with the people of Fallout Gaming and Purpose Win Entertainment to bring one of the world's biggest DOTA 2 event to the Philippines
New Blood Championships: Galaxy Battles 2 Emerging Worlds will bring in the excitement with teams representing at least one of the six continents (a total of 16 teams) for a 3-day affair which will stage in the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, Philippines
In a statement from Adrian Gaffor, Managing Director of Fallout Gaming he said "“Introducing new experiential event components to esports events brings a new dynamic to the overall consumer experience. What we hope to achieve with the fusion of entertainment and esports is a more holistic approach to creating an exciting and fresh way to experience gaming.
They are targetting for 60,000 atendees as they can watch the battles itself or enjoy the DOTA 2-related entertainment set in another area which you can expect from cosplayers, toy shops, stores, food and drinks stores and also resting pods for those who want to maximize the entire 3 days or maybe due to the location of the venue.
A total of US$ 1 million in prize pot. Out of 16 teams, they revealed the four participating teams including OG, Newbee, Infamous Gaming and one of the country's known DOTA 2 teams TNC Pro Team. Tickets will be available this November 2017 as the festivities will start this January 19 to 21, 2018
