The photography community is all abuzz as the much-awaited, largest on-the-spot photography contest opens its doors to Filipinos once again.
The Canon PhotoMarathon 2017 is set to happen on October 21 at the SMX Convention Center Hall 4, MOA Grounds, Pasay City, giving Filipinos a platform to showcase their photography prowess and masterpieces. Interested participants can register right now at http://bit.ly/CanonPhotoMarathonPreReg until October 17, Tuesday.
Anybody who owns a Canon camera, whether a DSLR, mirrorless, or compact camera, are welcome to participate. The entries will be judged by esteemed Canon Brand Ambassadors according to the relevance to the theme of the entries (50%), creativity in theme interpretation (30%), and the composition of photography with the use of lighting, exposure, and focus (20%).
The photographer of the winning photo will enjoy an all-expense paid trip and will represent the Philippines at the Canon PhotoMarathon grand finals in Japan in 2018.

Aside from the main photography contest, the participants will also get access to photography workshops and get their hands on the latest line-up of Canon’s imaging and printing devices.
