Thru one of the recent social media posts that I saw, there was another coworking space plus a cafe and events place just sprout in Las Pinas City. As they are currently giving free trial, I checked out Gather Workspace
Gather is actually the fifth coworking space that I found in the South Metro. Their place is actually walking distance from the BF Resort Drive and Alabang-Zapote Road intersection. For those who want to know, I checked them out last June 29 from 3 to 5 pm. My first hour, it rained but at around 4 pm, the sun was up already
They are located at the second floor. The free trial only includes the space and free internet access (no unli or free coffee based when I asked it). I noticed that there are two parts: the only entrance with 1/3 of it has the cafe and the remaining 2/3 is for the coworking space from 9 am to 5 pm and it converts from 5 pm til late night for their resto plus they can also accomodate events too. \
In terms of coworking space alone, they can pack up to 28 people. It is quite spacious and there's a comform room. I found out that they are currently on SkyBroadband which was the downer on my trial. Sometimes, the speed was there (from average speedtest of 9 mbps download and 2 mbps upload) and it will just slow down literally that the only way to get your online things get goig is to disconnect/connect/. They gave me two WiFi access codes but both were not there consistently. I was on my smartphone review that it really gave me some less in productivity that I forced to tether on my smartphone. I even told them that they might need to go from another net provider.
For the food from their cafe, I ordered their cheesy tuna melt sandwich which has good amount of filling, bread and fries to complement my hot latte which for some reason, it was not that hot but it's ok to me for my total food bill of 190 pesos
On their regular coworking space intro rates, they have Php 350 for the entire day, 5-day pass for Php 1,5000, monthly pass at Php 3,500 and for monthly team pass (40 slots for max. of 6 pax) of Php 10,000. Those spaces booked by July 31, 2017 is for usage before January 31 2018
The place, the big space in their coworking space, the airconditioning and the food were great so far but I hope that their WiFi will be more stable as they extended their free trial until July 31, 2017.
