That was Gamecon Philippines and it was their first venture happened at the Megatrade. I was not there on an entire day but somehow I managed to attend two days of it.
First day was more of an exploration to me on booths. Some of that I stood in for a few minutes include the demo version of an Android game "The Crop Circle Warriors", the throwback booth of Retrogameph as I played some Famicom games like Double Dragon 2 and Spartan X (I also saw them rocked a Sega Dreamcast on their second day), Neko Maid Cafe, EON For the Digital Me which is a perfect prepaid debit card solution especially for those who have Paypal accounts, the Game Ako booth with some of their goodies, VR Philippines with their game powered by HTC Vive, the booth which they sell Remix Mini as they promoted that it can play games with a help of a controller including Mobile Legends, World of Fun with their free gameplay of basketball, Time Crisis 4 and Tekken 7, League of Legends tourney with some college-based teams and Mobile Legends booth which they ran a tourney which was a blockbuster to spectators.
Freebies galore were also there with some caffeine from Great Taste, Hiro biscuits and awesome no-time limit free WiFi from Smart
I was not able to check the entire showcase of Roborumble but definitely one of the crowd drawers was the elims and finals of their single and family edition which one of their cosplay judges was Ashley Gosiengfiao. On family cosplay, they awarded Php 10,000 plus other prizes to the Dota 2 group.
They also said they will gonna bring Gamecon PH this time in Cebu this Feburary 2018. From my observation, Gamecon Philippines first attempt was a success. See more of the pic highlights below.
