Almost a week ago, I had a one-on-one media meeting with Mr. Marlo Lucio of Honestbee to discuss more on the app and some details that are quite missing on their Facebook Live stream and as well on the app. You can check my post here
Before we had to go, Honestbee PH gave us some credits to spend (delivery fee not included but it is ok at 99 pesos) which goes down to this review but it does not influence our rating, observations and comments on their service.
I went to a different way as for better visualization, you can watch my 16+ minutes of my actual transaction (but I did not include the payment transaction and my details for obvious reasons). It was done last June 22 at the afternoon. As the service was not yet available in the South, I did a strategy which I ordered right at one of those seats nearest to the P2P bus service of Greenbelt-Alabang Town Center so that I pull out easily and transport those heavy goods. As they mentioned earlier of the 15 kilogram limit per rider, I did a test which my order went down to over 17 kilos. The video screenshot was done via the Vivo V5s
As you noticed at the video, I went back and forth on the main menu because of one thing that is missing, a floating cart icon or at least they put in a cart icon at the top corner so I can check the goods and I am not doing unnecessary double transactions (which also happened maybe of some touch inconsistencies) . There are times that if I am putting 2 or more items, you will not never knew at first that it's added correctly. After I already completed the transaction, their one of their concierge people sent me a text of 5 items that were not available and gave her suggestions but I went to my own options as I noticed that the prices were a bit over my target price range from laundry detergent, rice and others. After a numnber of SMS exchanges, I am happy that got the target delivery time of between 4 to 5 pm. I placed my order at around 2:45 pm. You can check my ordered items and the replaced items based on the options that I gave to her
Despite that my order was around 17 kilos, they assigned one rider and stopped on my designation. Overall, the goods were at perfect condition except for two misses, I ordered two 5 kilos of Sinandomeng rice but it went to 1 5 kilos each of Sinandomeng and Dinorado Rice. Another thing (I don't know who to blame on this) but on the 340-ish grams of Maling. The app has the one with circular can but they sent me the one in a spam-like can (for those who don't know, there are two kinds of that product: the one with the circular can is more delicious than the one that I got on the said size)
In terms of time, variety of items, real-time assistance and app performance, they had a pretty good job. On the app itself, the "always there" cart icon is a must like the one that I saw on Lazada and Shopee apps. There is a bit of lapse on they promised "real-time stocks remaining" thing as they had go get back on me for 5 items out of 18 items that I tried to order. The prices were a-ok if to compare if I need to go out and shop. I will give 4 out of 5 for my overall assessment of Honestbee Philippines app
Extra: The rider said to me that Honestbee is now available in Las Pinas and Paranaque areas as of last June 23, 2017 (which I had to verify soon on Honestbee PH officials)
