Carousell App First Look, Online Selling App For the IG Crowd

I went to a blogger-based selling event and I just saw this new online selling app on the rise with the number of Instagram ads and posts from their influencers, that made stuck for a few minutes with the Carousell app.

Their team was on the right place when they had their booth at the recent Bloggers United 13. I talked to two of their team members and dug some info which you may not see in the screenshots that I provided here.

With their tagline "Snap, List, Sell", they made it easy for their members for sell their pre-loved or new items that they are not using by just posting a pic like on the said social media platform.

Getting an account is as easy by using your Google or Facebook account or on old school way of registering thru email. They have been only in the Philippines for a few months but they are now operating in various Southeast Asian countries.

If you are already selling a number of items and you are getting good reviews from your fellow Carousell, there is a big chance that the app will promote you as one of the preferred sellers. For me, I went to the different approach on what if you are also doing good transactions but unfortunately, you are not getting any reviews - is there a way thru their database that you can also be highlighted. They are already working on that. On selling, right now they do not have the partner logistics company as the seller will have the diskarte on that. They also have the chat service for inquiries which I told them that they are quite a hybrid of OLX and Shopee apps.

On the bugs, I saw some from the registration itself like not all of the Metro Manila cities and town are there (but you will not be penalized if Carousell  found out) and I tried to register using a word and carousell to combine into one username but the system said that it is a reversed word which is kinda weird. Unfortunately, they do not have the database on how many Carousell users are now in the country. The main page though is eye candy to me which is fit to the "it" crowd. I will try to sell one item on this platform and expect an update
