A few hours after it had various launch events in some Asian countries, it was the time for the Philippines to welcome the new OPPO F3
It was also the first time that their batch of endorsers and influencers were there in one stage. Here are some from the event highlights
OPPO F3 is priced in the Philippines for Php 16,990 and it will be available this May 13. There will be also a pre-order week this May 5 to 12 in all participating stores around the country. It will be available in gold or rose gold. No official words yet if this will appear on your fave telco postpaid plans but it can be availed via Home Credit for Php 1,168 a month
And here is our first look on the OPPO F3
Front: 5.5 inch In-Cell Full HD display, 16 MP selfie camera, another 8 MP camera for groufies, front-mounted fingerprint scanner
Back: 13 MP AF rear camera with flash, OPPO branding, single antenna lines, non-removable back cover
Internals: ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 1.5 GHz Mediatek MT6750T octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB ROM, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3,200 mAh battery
Left: Volume buttons
Right: Dual nano SIM and micro SD slot in one tray and power/unlock button
Just like in the F3 Plus, the bottom has almost got the usual ports like the 3.5 mm. audio jack, single speaker and OTG-capable micro USB port
I had a little time on playing time. As you already got the usual numbers of a phone powered by the said processor so I jumped at the sensors and it has 7 working inside of it like in F3 Plus
The same ColorOS 3.0 that you already saw in the F3 Plus so I dug deeper on it. It gave some importance in the India launch (but not displayed on their presentation) but the good news is, there is now the "clone apps" feature which allows you to have 2 Facebook and WhatsApp app accounts into this F3. The question remains on the number of apps that it can support on this nifty add-on. You will get around over 52 GB of app storage out of 64 GB of internal storage
The available filters are now hidden when you swipe from right to left. Max resolution is at Full HD and it can save RAW files. The image processing speed is quite fast for the 3 cameras.
Here are the camera samples all at default settings.

They are stressing that this phablet has a thin profile and it can tell from the few minutes that I handled it, thanks to it's 7.3 mm. thickness plus the 2.5D Glas which gives comfort on one-hand navigation. I have nothingt to complain so far except a bit on the pricing but the smoke and the blurs will become clear to me once we got a chance for a review unit of F3 from the people of OPPO Philippines
