Open Air CinemaOne April 2017 Highlights

I am been in a number of Nuvali Night Sky Cinema events since late 2012. Since 2015, CinemaOne led the charge for a number of worthy night screenings with their Open Air CinemaOne. In their first offering this 2017 in Nuvali, I am glad that I was invited to be on the VIP seats to witness this one of the successful events so far in the side of Sta. Rosa.

I had a roam there as early as 2:30 pm, 30 minutes before the actual start at 3 pm. This time, they had more variety on food booths plus their number of sponsors too who gave away some prizes to participants.

The Fields was already packed as early as 4 pm. The event officially started at past 4 pm with some games plus performances from indie band Maude and Kapamilya actress/singer Sue Ramirez.

As their promise to my email with the help of their another Sky-exclusive channel TAG (which showcases foreign movies dubbed in Tagalog), they had the outdoor screening of Golden Globe-award winning movie "La La Land" starring Emma Watson. It started at around 7:30 pm

I knew that the crowd waited for this act as after La La Land ended, they anticipated for the 45 minute performance of UDD. They played their latest single and just like in their appearance in 2015 Open Air CinemaOne, they had "Tadhana" as an ending in their 8-song setlist.

Around 10:15 pm when they played the 2017 LizQuen blockbuster hit "My Ex And Whys". Looks like the official DVD is not yet available or already in the works, they played the movie with that caption "Copy of ABS-CBN: For Preview Only". What's cool that it has english subtitles.

I decided not to finish the said movie as the shuttle needed to go out soon (which I watched it courtesy of the Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime media launch). Thru an info from one of CinemaOne personnels, the Nuvali security mentioned that they had an estimated crowd attendance of 17,000 which is the biggest that I seen so far in the years that I attended there. I can't even have enough time to roam around due to the limited pathway space available. Fortunately, no serious accident or incident happened throughout the event.
