I had in a few moments off on my archive and now, I can finally bring in on another Huawei device that checked from their previous media event on the sidelines.
Here is the Huawei GR3 2017 which is definitely (and might be) more affordable option to the Huawei GR5 2017. You can check the rest of the specs on my previous article here
Front and back views of GR3 2017 - the dual 2.5D Glass really gives some elegance to this smartphone that you can't still believe that at Php 8,990, a beauty can still exist but it is quite delicate for me especially at the back that you must have a protective case on it.

Yup, the processor, the camera UI and number of working sensors are pretty much identical between the GR5 and GR3 2017 but reality bites when I went to the storage section. The EMUI 5.0 might be big for my own opinion as out of 16 GB internal memory, it only gives you over 7 GB of app storage. Good thing on the camera app, you can still directly save your photos and videos straight to micro SD (which is now missing on some of the latest releases from different brands)
These camera samples were taken in a mix of tricky and low lights set in a part of Shangrila at The Fort ballroom. The phone still managed to get a good output as well as my selfie. Image processing speed is fast in my own opinion

From the intial thoughts on this device, definitely it might be a contender in the under 10k smartphone segment (as on specs, the processor is even more powerful than some of it's counterparts at 1,000 peso more). Can't wait to have the review unit of Huawei GR3 2017 soon.
