A day after they opened the pre-order line, LG Philippines made it official of the entry of their 2017 flagship phablet LG G6 to the Philippines
Those who were present at the said launch were Mr. Aldo San Pedro, Ms. Faith Mijares and VP Jay Won of LG Mobile Philippines, Sponge Cola vocalist Yael Yuzon, host/blogger/model Janeena Chan, PBA player LA Tenorio and Kapamilya artist/MYX VJ Sharlene San Pedro plus a performance from local band Hale
and the moment that I waited since that I saw some teasers ocally, my hands-on of the first smartphone with 18:9 display.
First was the box thanks to Emman of Gadget Pilipinas. The box was pretty simple and small. A sign of what to expect for the (fly like a) G6
Here's the phablet! Glad that I had a chance to see all of three available colors like white and the two on this showcase, the Platinum and Black variants
Front and back views
The left has volume buttons while at the right is the hybrid dual SIM tray set-up which means like in the V20 and G5, LG G6 has power/unlock button and rear-mounted fingerprint reader as one.
The top has noise cancelling mic and 3.5 mm. audio jack. The bottom has single speaker and USB Type C port with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
I had limited time to play (for sure there will be more in our future review of this) and from what we found on the camera app because of the new and introduced display aspect ratio, there are now 4 available options to shoot by size; 4:3, 16:9, 18:9 and 1:1 which is good for Instagram
And the camera samples which you can think of all of the superlatives so far on a high-end camera phone so here it is.
