Last March, Lenovo Mobile Philippines launched this one in a small media gathering. One and a half months later, they are running a roadshow of it in a mall and it was the chance for this blog to do a lil hands-on. Here is the Lenovo K6 Note
Front: 8 MP secondary camera, 5.5 inch IPS FHD LCD display
Back: 16 MP PDAF main camera with dual LED flash, fingerprint reader, Lenovo logo, non-removable back cover
Internals: Lenovo custom UI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, SIM 2 slot can be used as micro SD slot up to256 GB, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, GPS, Dobly Atmos, 4,000 mAh built-in Li-Po battery
At the left you can check the hybrid dual SIM tray. The right has volume rocker and power/unlock button.
The top has nose cancelling mic and 3.5 mm. audio jack. The bottom has single speaker, pin hole mic and micro USB port. One of the salespersons there claimed that it has OTG and fast charging which I will verify once I had a chance to do a review of it.
Not sure if this is still the name but the custom UI of the K6 Note has almost the same as the Vibe UI from one of my previous main drivers, Lenovo Vibe Shot from the pulldown menu and the app drawer so it was almost no learning curve on my side in terms of navigating it for a few minutes.
I jumped straight in the camera app. The UI is also has some Vibe Shot elements but it is definitely less powerful when I went to the pro mode with shutter speed of up to only 2/3 of a second and ISO 1600.
Here are the camera samples. The main and secondary cameras have f/2.0 and f/2.2 apertures respectvely. The main shooter is quick to respond on image processing while it's a bit slow for selfies. I noticed that the color accuracy is on the average side as the violet part of the K6 Note sign was on the darker side compared to the opposite in real life. The texts were also a bit pixelated. Good thing, both advertised megapixels are set at 16:9 aspect ratio like in the number of Lenovo phones that I tested

If there are three wow factors for me so far: not sluggish in multi tasking thanks to it's 4 GB RAM inside, the build quality and the weight which is pretty light for a phablet with 4,000 mAh battery inside. I am a bit not that sold on two of the previous phones with SD 430 SoC so far this one from Lenovo K6 Note might break it. It is already available for Php 11,999
