Computrade Sees Digital Transformation, Machine Learning Fueling Growth in PH

In this second implementation in the country, the CTP IT Infrastructure Summit 2017 showcases the latest trends and innovations on Digital Transformation and Machine Learning. Aligned with its roadmap,

CTP also unveils new partnerships with a number of IT solutions and services vendors, namely identity governance and administration (IGA) solution provider Deep Identity Pte. Ltd., web risk protection technology expert Menlo Security, and enterprise cloud infrastructure innovator Nutanix. The event also announces CTP’s strategic alliance with Defenxor, a managed security service provider.

Digital Transformation, also known as DX, refers to the adoption of technologies that businesses undertake from utilizing legacy equipment and traditional business approach to a technology-enabled, agile, digitized and innovative business model. According to research firm Gartner, there are four pillars of Digital Transformation: Big Data analytics, Social Media, Cloud technologies and Mobility solutions.

Atmojo, President Director of Defenxor; Teddy Sumulong, Managing Director of CTP; Rachmat Gunawan, Director of CTI Group; Stephanie Boo, Managing Director-APAC of Menlo Security; Pun Kok (PK) Lim, Managing Director for ASEAN of Nutanix and Siva Belasamy, Chief Executive Officer of Deep Identity.

These four pillars are the foundation of Digital Transformation which in turn make Machine Learning possible.  Machine Learning is a part of Artificial Intelligence science which enables machine or system to learn data without being specifically programmed and make its own decisions. DX and Machine Learning can improve customer experience, lead to better operational efficiency and create new revenue streams.

The technology trend on Machine Learning and Digital Transformation continue to become more prevalent in our day-to-day lives. This is made possible for the following reasons: 1) computing power has reached an all-time high; 2) the price of digital storage has significantly reduced; 3) the data growth has growth exponentially; 4) and these ever-increasing, non-stop accumulation of data needs to be harnessed and used innovatively.

International Data Corporation (IDC) Philippines projects that by 2020, 25% of the country’s top 1,000 companies will see majority of their business depend on their ability to create digitally enhanced products, services and experiences. IDC expects digital transformation (DX) will attain macroeconomic scale over the next three to four years[1]. Machine learning, which can contribute significantly in providing valuable business insights through data analysis, is also expected to push more digital businesses towards the Internet of Things (IoT). IT trend analysts have even estimated that IoT spending in the Philippines will surge to a whopping US$ 766.8 million by 2020 from just US$55.1 million in 2014[2].

Teddy Sumulong, Managing Director of CTP says, “Our new partners’ solutions complement our current products and services. Their offerings respond squarely to the growing demand for best-of-breed solutions. Computrade’s newly expanded portfolio will help companies begin their digital transformation journey as well as consider the wide range of applications made by machine learning.”

Rachmat Gunawan, Director of CTI Group, expressed optimism in the growth opportunity in the Philippines market and the local team. “We are very pleased with the uptrend that our Filipino team continues to bring for CTI Group. In four short years, under Teddy’s leadership, CTP has established a strong presence and became a trusted partner by the business community. We welcome the addition of these new partnerships and strategic alliances which further strengthen the company’s position as a premier enterprise solutions partner.

CTP said that the new partnerships reinforce the company as a premier IT solutions and services provider that can address the challenges of digital transformation and offer machine learning solutions to enterprises and SMEs through a comprehensive and meaningful approach.

Siva Belasamy, Chief Executive Officer, Deep Identity said that their partnership with CTP is a perfect fit for customers who need to merge data management and compliance with identity governance. “With our solutions and Computrade’s own, decision-makers can gain a greater understanding of enterprise risks. This integration is extremely important as it supports seamless operations and maximizes efficiency. Surely, we are glad to lend a hand in leading Philippine industry towards the new data world.”

Stephanie Boo, Managing Director-APAC of Menlo Security is glad of the partnership with Computrade. “This partnership with CTP will allow faster innovation across a broader range of enterprises. We are pleased to be working with a partner in the Philippines which is one of the fast- growing economies in the region. We are just as excited to help the local industry take advantage of machine learning and attain total security and agility in its journey towards digital transformation.”

Pun Kok (PK) Lim, Managing Director for ASEAN of Nutanix is just as thrilled with the Computrade partnership. “When it comes to digital transformation or DX, our company is at the forefront in enabling data centers to take advantage of emerging technologies and trends.  We have assisted clients across industries of varying scales of operation around the world not only in securing their data from illegal access but also in making better decisions about their business.  With the recent partnership with Computrade Philippines, we will extend the same professional expertise so Filipino enterprises can take full advantage of a secure, hybrid cloud approach and re-imagine a better future for themselves.”

Toto A. Atmojo, President Director of Defenxor comments, “We are optimistic that through this partnership, Defenxor can help any business or industry in the Philippines deal with cyber security, which is a pressing concern due to the lack of IT security professionals. We are committed to provide the best security expertise and consultancy on industry standard policy to improve the security posture in different sectors while helping maximize investments in security technolog

Currently, CTP also offers products from electrical systems developer Thales, cybersecurity and malware solutions firm FireEye, cloud security systems provider Zscaler, network solutions provider Riverbed and computer technology company Dell
