I am going once again on the Y Series of Vivo and this time, it is the country's first and official one powered by this particular processor.
This is Vivo Y53
Front: 5 MP secondary camera, 5 inch qHD display, Android capacitive buttons
Back: 8 MP main camera with flash, Vivo branding, non-removable back cover
Internals: 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 64-bit quad-core processor with Adreno 308 GPU, Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 2,500 mAh built-in battery
Our review unit came in Space Gray. The back cover was obviously made from plastic but the build quality is still there.
The top has 3.5 mm. audio jack. The bottom comes with the microphone, OTG-capable mico USB port and speaker
Good thing that they included true dual (nano) SIM support and dedicated micro SD sot in one tray at the left. The remaining inputs, volume rocker & power/unlock button are at the right.
This is quite different compared to other Vivo phones that I unpacked as there's no protective case included inside the box (might be to cut costs). Inside has user manual, sim & micro SD ejector tray, 5V 1A plug, micro USB to USB cord and earphones
This is only Vivo PH's second smartphone this year under 10k (priced at Php 6,990). The Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core SoC is something to see with the old 28 nm archictecture but let's what will happen on the days that I will gonna use this as a daily driver. Stay tuned for our Vivo Y53 review soon
