Pinoys were one of those in charge in terms of interior design from the news that we saw worldwide. No wonder that these new, young deisgners were given some space by SM North EDSA for their month-long "Home Is The Art Is" exhibit.
In the program proper, they had Viktoria Layug (furtinure design), Micki Olaguer (fashion design) and Jim Torres to share their stories, struggles and their road to what they are have been today in their chosen field.
All of them were on the Red Box Design Program of Center of International Trade Expostions and Missions (CITEM) and Department of Trade of Industry (DTI) to bring on the best of those Pinoy designers who will be next in line.
Viktoria was one of the 2015 finalists of the said program. For Micki, the interesting story was the almost to midnight drive with her Mom to the venue to submit her piece that will travel her to various countries - one of those is her entry for Utopias: International Showcase in London. The only guy in the panel, Jim had his "Escapade" masterpiece at ICFF 2016 in Ney York and Red Box Showcase of Manila Famee in April 2016.

In some parts of SM Interior Zone area, you can see Viktoria's creations as well as very unique furniture designs mostly from student deisgners of College of Saint Benilde and Mapua.
You can still catch and see these wonderful creations in person until March 24, 2017 at SM North EDSA.
