Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ Now Official, Specs, Other Information

After their previous introduction to Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 and Samsung Galaxy Book in MWC 2017, it was time for time to bring again something new in the phablet space.

After a number of leaks, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ were finally revealed and bye for now for the edge as they named their screens as Infinite display. In addition, there's also the Invisible Home Button


Samsung Galaxy S8 has 2.3 and 2.35 GHz octa-core processor options, built on a 10 nm architecture, Samsung Experience 8.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat, 5.8 inch 2960 x 1440 Super AMOLED display at 571 ppi with always-on display and Gorilla Glass 5, 12 MP main camera with flash and f/1.7 aperture, 8 MP AF front camera with f/1.7 aperture, LTE, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal memory, micro SD up to 256 GB, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, GPS with GLONASS, NFC, USB Type C, IP68 certification, Iris scanner, fingerprint sensor still with 3.5 mm. audio jack, measures 148.9 x 68.1 x 8 mm, weighs 158 grams and 3,000 mAh battery with rapid charge support


The bigger Samsung Galaxy S8 has 2.3 GHz or 2.35 octa-core processor variants, Samsung Experience 8.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat, 6.2 inch 2960 x 1440 Super AMOLED display at 571 ppi with always-on display and Gorilla Glass 5, 12 MP rear camera with flash and f/1.7 aperture, 8 MP AF secondary camera with f/1.7 aperture, LTE, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal memory, Iris scanner, fingerprint reader,  micro SD up to 256 GB, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, GPS with GLONASS, NFC, USB Type C, IP68 certification, also with 3.5 mm. audio jack,  has 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm. in size, weighs 173 grams and 3,500 mAh battery with rapid charge support

Both devices will also support wireless charging. For going beyond in desktop-like experience, they have the Samsung DeX which transforms the phablet like using a desktop computer. There will be also be high performance AKG earphone. Both phablets will have these color options: Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue and Maple Gold
