Currently in the country, there are three smartphones that arrived here with dual front camera system: LG Vibe S1, Vivo V5 Plus and LG V10. Hellotronics wants to capture the same segment but possibly in a a more affordable price with the upcoming Infinix S2 Pro
The said distributor gave me and some tech bloggers a teaser of this one which will probably arrive this 4th week of this month at their Infinix Mobile Legends Championship happened yesterday in McDo in UN Avenue. Note that the form is in final but it is still a prototype one so for sure there might be some improvements especially on the camera samples which you will gonna see below.
Here is the Infinix S2 Pro.
Front: 5.2 inch IPS HD display with 2.5D Glass and Dragontrail protection, 13 MP main selfie camera with Samsung-based sensor, 8 MP wide-angle front camera with Omnivision-based sensor, capacitive touch buttons
Back: 13 MP main camera with flash and Samsung based sensot, fingerprint reader, Infinix branding, non-removable back cover
Internals: XOS 2.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Mediatek MT6753 octa-core processor, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3,000 mAh built-in battery
The left has the volume rocker. The opposite side has hybrid dual SIM slot (SIM 2 slot can be used as micro SD slot) and power/unlock button
The top has 3.5 mm. audio jack. The bottom has single firing speaker, the mic which also looks like the speaker too and the OTG-capable micro USB port just like in other Infinix phones.
Almost nothing changed from the XOS 2.1 UI based on my previous review on the Infinix Hot S except on one thing.
In the camera, swipe to the right and you will gonna see the camera modes. In pro mode, it can shoot from 1/10 of a second to 6 seconds and ISO up to 1600. Not shown in my pictures but once you switch on the front cam, you will be seeing 2 icons at the right, the single person icon which represents the 13 MP main front camera is the one in use and tap the 3-person icon for that wide angle camera which you can do a groufie just like in LG V10. This is definitely a solution if you forgot your selfie stick or you want a wide angle selfie which works best on landscape. The wide angle cam can also shoot on beauty mode but not sure if it will support all of the available faces when you do a groufie pic. All of the three cameras can shoot in either 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio
The camera samples. All of the 3 cams had around 1 second in terms of image processing which is acceptable for me if you consider the processor inside. You will also gonna see the aperture.

There is no info yet on the pricing but I expect that it will be a bit higher as it is quite near to the specs of Infinix Hot S but for double the internal memory and the addition of that wide-angle camera. They are still trying to push this phone soon on Lazada Philippines
Update: One of Hellotronics officials gave us a word that the Infinix S2 Pro will be a part of Lazada Philippines' 5th Birthday Sale this March 21-23 for pre-order at Php 8,999. Those will pre-order will receive the unit at March 31, 2017
