It was a rainy January 10, 2017 but it did not stop me to go to SM Bicutan to that scheduled oepning day of Meizu Philippines' first kiosk at SM Bicutan.
It was a surprise for me instead as I never saw a small sign of their kiosk. The said mall did not have any Cyberzone area but I noticed that the smartphone brands were at 2 major spots, at the the lowest floor at the main mall and their 2nd building which is their cinema section at another floor.
To clear things up, I sent a message to them and clarified what happened. It was a disappointment for me as they never had an update on the said date. They sent an apology and so on when they posted this status in their social media page. The reason was there were some unexpected things that happened between them and SM which they did not give such exact details.
Honestly since covering tech, it was the first time that I saw this particular incident and it is quite sad that social media is altready there for possible updates. I hope that this will not happen ever again as well for other tech brands. By the way, Meizu Philippines officially opened their SM Biuctan kiosk last January 11, 2017 - not January 10
