A day after the Chinese New Year, we went back to the The Block Atrium of SM North EDSA to dig deeper behind the brush strokes of Chan Lim.
Unlike from it's opening ceremonies two weeks ago, 37 out 43 people behind the Chan Lim Family of Artists and Students were present to mingle with us media as well as other people who wants to ask some questions regarding on their ongoing art gallery.
In that small group of bloggers which I came in, we were able to talk to Dr. Alex Chan Lim who had a good portion of work out of around 250 art creations that scattered around the area. Aside from their own main professions, they family and the rest of the group were busy on the art itself that they need to be booked at least a year in advance for the preparations.
Before that media meet-up, they were came from their another art exhibit in SM Seaside City in Cebu. They were aware on the dynamics of social media that they were quite conscious on creating new art paintings as much as possible in their every presentation. Of course, no one wants to see again that they already saw online
On their porcelain ware paintings, they will glaze it so that scratches will not erase it. When I asked him (as I saw some are from scrolls), they were able to paint on murals but when they were still young unlike now that it will need some time to do it.
If you have seen their unique Chinese art paintings, you can still go there at the said area for free until February 12, 2017. You can see more of their portfolio at www.chanlim.com
