Samsung Electronics pushes further for their future plans as they announced that they will be acquiring Harman via a definite agreement.
The deal comes in US$112 per share or approximately US$ 8 billion. Harman is a leader in terms of connected car solutions with 30 million vehicles has this technology with their car and audio systems.
In a statement, Oh-Hyun Kwon, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Samsung Electronics said " “HARMAN perfectly complements Samsung in terms of technologies, products and solutions, and joining forces is a natural extension of the automotive strategy we have been pursuing for some time”.
Customers will also experience the benefits of their complementary technologies in the audio segment as Harman handles JBL, Harman Kardon, AKG and others.
