Kata is just trying the widely used Mediatek MT6753 octa-core processor with their latest release, Kata i5 and I had some lil time on it.
Front: 5 inch IPS HD display, 8 MP selfie camera
Back: 13 MP rear camera with flash, Kata logo, removable back cover, fingerprint reader, speaker
Internals: Dual SIM (micro & nano), 3 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, micro SD slot, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3,000 mAh built-in battery
The looks of it reminds me a bit of iPhone and Meizu models which is not bad for me. The built quality is on a top notch compared to the previous Kata phones that I previously handled.
The top has 3.5 audio jack while at the bottom, they included an OTG capable micro USB port and pin hole microphone. The right side has the power/unlock button and volume rocker. In addition, they have an LTE only option which is one of my must haves when looking for an LTE capable Android phone.
Compared to C2, Kata i5 has high leap in terms of camera quality and image processing speed. Same with it, both shooters can have 16:9 aspect ratio too. These images were taken inside CBTL in Ayala Triangle Gardens. The rear and selfie cameras have f/2.0 and f/2.8 aperture respectively.

Among the 3 handsets, the Kata i5 is my personal fave based on the right balance of looks, performance and price which is at Php 7,999. It comes in gold and gray. Thanks to Mark Marcelo of filipinotechaddict.net as he allowed me to play his Kata i5 review unit
