Kata Philippines is quite into a one big blow this last quarter of 2016 with three new smartphones. First off, their most affordable in the line-up, Kata C2.
Front: 5.5 inch IPS HD display, 5 MP FF front camera with flash
Back: 8 MP rear camera with flash, fingerprint reader, Kata logos
Internals: 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6580 quad-core processor, dual SIM (micro & nano), Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 3G capable, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB ROM, micro SD slot, Bluetooth, WiFi, 2,600 mAh battery
The left side is a clean slate as you can see the volume rocker and power/unlock button at the right section. The usual placements are expected as 3.5 mm. audio jack at the top and micro USB port (without OTG support) and speakers at the bottom
No surprises for the 23,864 Antutu score based on the SoC. As for a budget phablet, they put in the accelerometer, proximity and light sensors. This device only has 2 point multi touch.
Both cameras have f/2.8 aperture and can shoot 16:9 aspect ratio. The rear camera has good enough output for the price. The image processing speed though is not that fast.

I noticed that the Kata C2 is a bit heavier at 186 grams which is in return, has more solid feel and will still survive in a number of side drops. The display is a-ok. The Php 3,999 price tag is good too if you are only gonna compare it to international counterparts.
Thanks to Mark Marcelo of filipinotechaddict.net as he allowed me to play his Kata C2 review unit
