It was my first time to reach the province of Pampanga and it was the best time that I went there for a buffet treat with the relatvely new food destination named Chef Laudico's Feast.
It was located at the ground floor of SM Clark, Chef Lau and Chef Jackie gave us a warm welcome to try some of their Pinoy and global dishes alike.
According to Chef Lau, the challenge there was to put in over 100 food choices in a small space which is comparable to two normal mall stalls that its why they maximized the space by going on vertical layers of their sushi, maki rolls, desserts and pizza pies and having 2 separated dishes in one container. In my conversation with them, they had a bit of scientific way to pair pork and beef dishes. Coz it was in Pampanga so they hired most Kapampangans from their crew and cooks. I felt the hospitality especially that they have the initiative in their number of scenarios that they helped me on getting some food.
They are proud of their dishes that they did not cook it with some shortcuts with those seasonings or MSG.
As much as possible, I had 6 rounds of it so that I can avoid the no leftover policy. I tried at almost 30 food choices which is at least over 90% were a-ok to me.
Very good - US Beef Kare Kare (which according to Chef Jackie, it was Chef Lau's fave) , Fish-based Sinigang, Meaty Spaghetti, Cebu Lechon, Bellychon, Roasted Chicken, California Maki, Adobo Roll (sushi which has chicken and pork in it), all 3 kinds of pizza, black forest dessert, Brazo de Mercedes
Not so good (hopefully only at that time) - Maja Blanca which almost tastes like kutsinta
