Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) just had their 10th annual event but with a bigger picture as they came out with Digicon 2016
Tech, social media, apps and mobile marketing were into a great mix in their venue at Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). I was not able to check the opening ceremonies but at the Plenary Hall, there were a number of interesting presentations from Facebook and Voyager Innovations.
After lunch, it was time for us to explore more rooms that suits my interest. I cannot cover all of the action at the number of topics but as tech is our main beat at this blog, I chose the spots on Spotify, Uber and Viber.
My first stopover was at Spotify which their Spotify Asia Managing Director Sunita Kaur shared some amazing info on the penetration of the said music streaming app in SEA and as well to the Philippines. In fact, Hugot music was one of the top 10 music playlists worldwide.
On Uber sessions, it was more of the same thing. The main highlights were the first TVC for the counntry on the good effects of Uberpool.
On Viber, they were happy that despite their limited marketing budget compared to their competirors ahead of them they were still managed to be on the top of messaging apps here in the country. In fact, they already catered a number of themed stickers from a number of campaigns and brands including from a known shopping mall and a fastfood chain.
