Acer Liquid Zest Plus Unboxing, First Look

This blog is thankful once again as Acer Philippines gave us a chance to do some unboxing of their latest Android smarrtphone with the biggest battery capacity yet so far.
Meet the Acer Liquid Zest Plus.

Unlike in the box, we got the white variant which is not bad as it has a lil matte finish at the removable back cover.

Front: 5.5 inch IPS HD display, 5 MP front camera
Back: 13 MP rear camera with laser AF and flash, Acer logo, single speaker
Internals: Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6735 quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM. micro SD slot, dual micro SIM, 5,000 mAh non removable battery, bluelight shield for display, quick charging support.

As expected, it will have a bit thicker body if you will look at the sides but it is still comfortable in one hand. I think this is more comfortable than the other phone with the same battery capacity. By the way, both the volume rocker and power/unlock button are there at the right side. The 3.5 mm. audio jack is at the top and the OTG capable micro USB port plus the pin hole microphone at the bottom.

If I am not mistaken, this is Acer's first time attempt to include a VR lens made from the cardboard (a hint that this phablet has gyro sensor, we will have to find out) plus the directional papers and warranty.

The box also includes a pair of earphones, a quite thick micro USB to USB cord and the travel charger which has 3 different output configurations: 5V 2A, 9V 1.67 A and 12V 1.5 A. I wonder if the 9V or the 12V output is the key to their quick charging promise.

You already saw a hint of the performance when I had it during my first gaming session for Caliburger's Gemjump app game challenge which is pretty good on both WiFi and LTE. As expected for an international brand, the build quality is there and for my judgment, I felt that it almost has the same weight as to Infinix Note 2.

I am now in a hunt right now for a midrange phablet with huge battery mainly for games and as well as an option to just bring a small powerbank to lessen my bag's load. Will the Acer Liquid Zest Plus deliver? We will find out soon in our review. By the way, Acer Liquid Zest Plus is priced at Php 7,999
