Samsung Mobile Philippines invited us for the Philippine launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 just a few number of hours after the New York launch.
For PH market, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be on pre-order this August 6 to 15, 2016 in all Samsung Experience stores, selected Abenson branches and selected SM Appliance branches and comes with free Gear VR. It will be available in Black Onyx and Gold Platinum. On other specs, Note 7 is the first smarrtphone with Gorilla Glass 5 plus a smaller tip of their S Pen at 0.7 mm. (compared to Note 5 at 1.6 mm.). It will be available this August 20.
And for the hands-on part, the front and back portions of Samsung Galaxy Note 7. It is almost as easy to handle as to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. The volume buttons at the left and power/unlock button at the right. One hand navigation is a breeze for me.
Nano SIM and micro SD tray on the top and 3.5 mm. audio jack, USB Type C, speaker, pin hole mic and S Pen at the bottom.
One key addition to the Note 7 is the iris scanner at the left as it turns red (when you need to use it like unlocking the phone). The S Pen is also water and dust resistant.
Like in 2 variants of Galaxy S7 here, Pinoys will have the Exynos 8890 octa-core processor inside of Note 7. Thanks to Aida 64 benchmark, I found out that the rear cam is using Sony IMX 260 sensor.
For camera. the rear cam can shoot in 12 MP 4:3 aspect ratio and 4K video while it's 5 MP selfie cam also on 4:3 aspect ratio and 2K video. On pro mode, it has a bit improvement compared to the Galaxy S7 with up to 10 seconds shutter speed.
And the camera samples which really shoot fast and has very good output in artifical light inside Samsung Hall in SM Aura

So far, I have no complains so far for the Note 7 in terms of UI, camera, S Pen functionalities, and form factor. It will be available this August 20, 2016. It will be also available in postpaid plans soon but we have to wait for their offers.
