Globe Telecom has just put in their system update yesterday which you saw it here recently in an article. The main reason is the implementation of the new access number of the telco for promo registraton and anything in between.
I am talking about 8080. Last August 26 and 27, they are already using this as a reply for what you can inquire on 8888 but you cannot send a keyword to 8080 just yet.
As a test, earlier I tried to inquire for my balance off on my current Globe Gosakto balance by texting GOSAKTO(space)STATUS and send to 8080 and it sent successfully plus I got a reply from the said number. In another conversation with another Globe CSR thru their hotline, he mentioned that the 8888 will be up until this November.
