Acer IFA 2016: New Swift and Spin laptops, new treats from Predator with Eye Tracking Tech

We are now on Day -1 of IFA 2016 in Berlin (which will really start this September 2) and Acer is the first in line for their presentation. No smartphones introduced in their event but there are 2 new laptop series and something to watch out from Predator.

They will have the upcoming Acer Swift Series which will be a notch higher than the Aspire laptop series (I was there at the Philippine media livestream of Acer IFA 2016 with additional inputs from Mr. Cuki Pendor of Acer Philippines). First, the Acer Swift 3 will be the entry level in the bunch with 6th Gen Intel i3 processor. Acer Swift 7 comes with 14 inch FHD display, full metal construction, up to 12 hours battery life and 6th Gen i5 processor. According to him, it will be available in the Philippines within the year.

Acer Swift 7 will be the highest model in this new series with the new 7th Gen Intel i5 processor and whopping 9.88 mm. only on it's thinnest point with 2 USB Type C ports. About the possible PH pricing, for sure it will not go beyond 100K

Acer also announced their acquisition of Pawbo which is specialized for their pet accessories. Their devices will be compatible for iOS and Android users. Out of their 5 latest ones, the Pawbo+ is the standout with first 3-in-1 petware, remote interaction with the pets and has a treat dispenser which is suitable as for a reward for your cats and dogs. As I got a copy of the PR here, there is a possibility that it will arrive in the country soon. In their global announcement, it will be available starting tomorrow thru pre--order.

On Predator, they revealed that they are currently no.1 worldwide on gaming monitors with 37% market share. As to pursue more innovation, they introduced their firsts with eye tracking technology thru the Predator Z271T gaming monitor and the world's first curved gaming laptop Predator 21 X with obviously, 21 inch display plus 5 fans inside and maintenance which you can replace some of the parts with one screw. In the demo, they removed the number pad.

According to Sir Cuki, these newest to watch out for Predator will be available within the Q1 of 2017.
