I hope this is only an isolated case but this particular Youtube video got me disappointed on the recent Starmobile Play Click bundled with Smart Prepaid
Thru the online video from tech Youtuber Gadget Addict, he was curious on the sign on the package that the SIM 1 only works on the provided Smart prepaid SIM. In normal state either we got a phone that was locked via prepaid or postpaid bundle, you can use another SIM as long as it is from the same telco provider.

It was not the case when he put in a brand new Smart Prepaid SIM, it really did not work. I wonder if the provided SIM can work on the SIM 2 slot (just use a SIM adapter) but if this work, it just defeats the dual SIM capability.
Another scenario is once you lost that provided Smart prepaid SIM card, you cannot use the SIM 1 at all unless there is a turnaround via openline procedure but this will void the warranty.
Last Wednesday, me and Peter of Gizguide.com tried to put in a Sun Prepaid SIM in SIM 1 in his own Starmobile Play Click and no surprise that it also did not work but he claimed that it worked a few days ago.
If this product really has that set-up, it is a no-no for me as I rather have to buy the said device with over Php 1,400 more but with your own freedom to put any SIM card that will really work in your everyday life. You can watch the entire Youtube video at the source below.
