It was my first test to check an Android Marshmallow phone and it came from the guys behind Acer Philippines.
Meet the Acer Liquid Zest 3G.
You can check the volume rocker and power & unlock button
3.5 mm audio jack at the top, micro USB port at the bottom
Calls, WiFi, SMS and 3G mobile internet had no problems in the number of days that I had for this review. As expected for the SoC, the phone does not have OTG support.
For it's budget price and with an international brand, I will not ask for more for those benchmarks and available sensors below. One thing to smile is they opted to have a good HD display with 5 point multi touch.

Acer left out their known textile texture back cover into this one with a rubberized one and it feels good. The 120 gram phone is also a joy on one hand navigation.
The first 4 pics below, you will see the start up, main menu and pull down menu which is almost stock Android expect for the logo. At your first time putting in a micro SD, you will be asked if you want to use it as an internal storage to expand that 8 GB ROM. Just be aware of the reminders

On audio, they had a good job on it but for my preference, the DTS HD is only ok for single speakers. Turn it off for using earphones.
On battery video rundown test, it had 7 hours and 50 minutes from 100% to 2%. In my number of days of usage, I can max out on 17 hours which is one working day. Charging time took me over 2 hours in their stock 1 ampere charger.
The camera has still the same UI that I saw in my previous Acer phone reviews. Both shooters are at 4:3 aspect ratio. I just noticed that I has some difficulty on rear camera s auto focus which sometimes I had to tap to focus to get it. I had a struggle on low light areas but the flash works ok. See the camera samples
The pro points for me for this device is the weight and form factor and a bit cleaner UI this time if I compare this to the Acer Liquid Z520 but how I wish they put in a little more of battery capacity. I will gonna rate it at 3.75 out of 5 for the Acer Liquid Zest. Acer Liquid Zest 3G is priced at Php 3,990
