Acer Liquid Z330 Review

It's my first taste to check out the entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor on a phone like Acer Liquid Z330. Did it satisfy me? Check out my review

Like in my last Acer smartphone review thru the Liquid Z630, I saw the familiar UI and the pulldown of the menu which is a-ok but it bothers me a bit mainly coz of the SoC. I had to tweak thru the developer options to keep up to my fast pace of navigation. Even at 4.5 inch FWVGA display, my eyes did not have some trouble on my everyday usage. No problems absolutely on calls, texts, WiFi and LTE even though that there is no LTE only option

The UI is kinda thock as you can only have 2.30 GB of app storage out of 8 GB ROM. That means that you might have a hard time on putting in big title games (aside from the SoC itself). With DTS audio, the earphone output is a-ok despite of it's entry-level phone status.

On benchmarks, the Liquid Z330 has 4 out of 9 sensors. Internal memory was supplied from Kingston. It has 2 point multi touch and scored over 19,000 on Antutu.

In my usual video battery rundown test, I managed to get it in  8 hours and 54 minutes on battery saving mode. In real life usage, I had 4 hours of screen time with mixed usage of maximum of 18 hours.

The main and secondary cameras are adequate enough for social media purposes on very good lighting condition so for the samples. I took it for a challenge on artifical lighting and at low light. The main cam has f/2.8 aperture.

Acer Liquid Z330 is probably one of the rare finds that you can have if you are into affordable LTE smartphone from an international brand for below Php 4,000 (which you can find a lot from local counterparts). The Snapdragon 210 quad-core is only best for casual gaming or for occasional multi tasking. The camera is only good for social media but the well rounded performance for the price and physical looks are something to look forward to. I will gonna give 3.75 out of 5 for the Acer Liquid Z330
