Time flies as I realized that it was my 4th Blogapalooza this 2016. This year, they went up north in Prosperity Hall, Eton Centris to continue the business-to-blogger connection that Blogapalooza has brought for a number of years.
I cannot help but to compare it from last year. The said venue is smaller compared to One Esplanade which means less space for improptu networking with fellow bloggers that you might like or in the same interest. Sadly, I never met new bloggers in the recent event as this is one of the factors (even though you have to consider the number of exhibitors this year)
As this blog (as you know it) is quite heavier on tech, more apps and websites that were there which I will gonna take down a list:
Happy Fresh - I will gonna pick it as my no, 1 so far mainly they can deliver your grocery shopping as long as you are in Metro Manila for a delivery fee of Php 149. The best parts are no minimum or maximum order requiement as long as all of your items can fit in into their motorcycle delivery. Compared to others, this might be has the biggest items to check as it is currently backed-up by Robinson's Supermarket. One weakness that I found after I downloaded the Android app - not all items can be searched even as you set the branch. For example, I knew that they are selling Ligo Tuna in their Alabang branch but no items found. The platform is also available via their website and iOS app.
Speedycardsph - they are offering printing a minimum of 100 pieces of business cards as low as Php 350 depending on the design plus they can deliver anywhere in the country. For Metro Manila, thh delivery charge is only Php 75. You can check more at their website at www.speedycards,ph and at facebook.com/speedycardsph
HeyKuya.com - the website is your virtual assistant online. From a start up last year, they are quite popular online. You can ask the site for help on some things like delivery from a coffee shop, paying bills and much more. Some or maybe all are free of service charge based when I asked one of their representatives. You can try it at the said website.
Etobee - they are a fast growing delivery service via Android and iOS apps although the first attempt was kinda wonky coz of the promo code but I might gonna go for a 2nd try.
I also took some attention on food.
Vita Coco - this is one of the two pure buko juice that you can find in supermarkets and at Mercury Drug groceries right now (read the label to find out). The price of around Php 35 (at Mercury) for a 330 ml. tetra pack plus a nice cap to reseal it. When I had a taste, lasang lasa yung balat ng buko - a sign that it is really natural and definitely my alternative to sports drink as sometimes I feel the need the electrolytes inside this pretty sweaty body. I found out a secret when I asked their person at the booth on their distributor (the company is based in New York) and it was Century Pacific Inc who bringing some of the known goods like Swift Corned Beef and Century Tuna.
Arla Cheese Spread and Milk - I had a curiosity when I saw this new brand based in Denmark from a lifestyle blogger from a previous media event. They showcased their Arla Full Cream Milk and Skimmed Milk there at their pretty huge booth with their Strawberry Milkshake. They also had a number of sandwiches prepared to pick-up. As for me and the rest of the bloggers who signed in, they received a bottle of Arla Cheese Spread which is the only one in white color - a sign that it does not have any artifical colors. I am currently enjoying the spread during my snack time at the house.
The event was also brought some speakers to enhance more of the bloggers skills and capabilities.
At first, I tried to go Facebook Live for this event but unfortunately Telco A had a maintenance problem at that day while the Telco B LTE is kinda slow but it was good enough for me as I had the first ever live online radio set-up in the history of this yearly blogger event. In my 40+ minute broadcast, I interviewed one of the girls from Rappler which they highlighted their statement shirts.
I hope that Blogapalooza will pick up a bigger venue (just found out that they will have another one this November 2016) and better place for LTE of both telcos. I noticed that in Instagram, there are less #blogapalooza2016 IG posts compared to the #blogapalooz2015 posts. The seats were always in full at that time so some are pretty settled outside of the venue. I still enjoyed this one but hoping for the good ones that I saw and experienced during Blogapalooza 2013 to 2015.
