After a few months since I met this device last October, I spent a few days off from this one of the latest phablets from Acer. Here is my review of Acer Liquid Z630.
For it's physical looks, better to look on this link here as I had my first impressions. Meanwhile here is the box.
I got a different color scheme on my review unit with it's chrome-like removable back cover. The box includes a 1.35 ampere charger, earphones and user manual.
The UI reminds me of what I encountered on the Acer Liquid Z520. It has some customized icons. The interchangeable pulldown menu returns on this device as you can put in your 8 basic needs and 16 in maximum. Yes, it has an app drawer and the standard Android buttons are on-screen. Good thing that some of pre-loaded apps are either can be unistalled or disabled. I had no problems on my back and forth navigation in my number of days of reviewing this device as well as putting my fave Google Now launcher.
On connectivity, calls, texts and data are a-ok on this device. I thought that I will be completely happy when I saw that there is "4G only" for mobile data but quite disappointed coz even that the signal bar is at 2 (my hub has both Globe and Smart LTE) it will just gonna drop it's connectivity to 3G (or even I set it on 3G, sometimes it will drop to 2G only). That is uncommon compared to all of the phones with LTE only that I reviewed.
On gaming with 1.3 GHz MT6735 quad-core processor, I had Real Racing 3 and Modern Combat 5 with no problems on normal settings.
On Antutu, it can easily beat out those phones with 1.4 GHz MT6592 octa-core SoC with it's 30,536 score. The phone has a 5 point multi touch.
And the camera samples. Shooting outside in daylight is a given that it will gonna have some positive results so I choose indoors. Image processing speed took at most at less than a second which is acceptable for me. Aperture is at f/2.0. For me, it has average output.

And the selfie camera at f/2.4 aperture which is also average for my taste.
The battery life is the main star of this device. On my video battery rundown test, it lasted for over 15 hours of playtime on it's 4,000 mAh removable battery. On my mixed usage with 3G only, I can consume it at around 2 days. On LTE, I got a max of 30 hours. You only need to take some time on charging this time as you need to have around 4 1/2 hours to refill. How I wish Acer had a fast charging technology on this device.

Pros: Removable and long lasting battery, thin factor (which is easy to grip on a 5.5 inch device), average camera, almost no glitch on UI., OTG capable,
Cons: The connectivity issues on mobile data, no fast charging
Acer Liquid Z630 almost became my 2nd main driver smartphone based on the overall experience that I discovered for it's price. Big and removable battery, still easy to navigate on one hand on 5.5 inch display, OTG and the UI. I can forgive the hours of charging time but I hope the brand will have an OTA update soon on the issue that I had when on "4G only" mobile data sessions. Price is at Php 6,990 is not bad compared to most local brands with the same price and powered with MT6753 SoC. I'll gonna give 3.75 out of 5 for Acer Liquid Z630
