Unicef Philippines got a launch event yesterday in The Block, SM North EDSA as they revealed their 6 offerings for Children First! Storybooks.
These series of children's books promote readiing and inspire child's imagination. Each book has different topics that they touched like overcoming shyness, cultivatin friendships and reaching one's dreams. These are for suitable for ages 3 and up.
The material are all written in English and Filipino plus colorful illustrations. The books include (author - illustrator in this order) Anita, The Duckling Diva by Anne Curtis and James Abalos, Ang Sabi ni Nanay, Ang Sabi ni Tatay by Sacha Calagopi & James Bauza, Ang Dalawang Haring Siga by Rene O. Villanueva & Iori Espiritu, Ang Bata sa Basket by Augie Rivera & Ray Nazarene Sunga, Nina Wonders, Nina Asks bu Marcy Dans Lee and Yaya Niya, Nanay Ko by Ma. Corazon Remigio & Nicole Lim
After the media event, they had their storytelling session with Anne at the activity area. The entire book series are at Php 500 with all proceeds will go to Unicef. There's also an exhibit area featuring illustrations from the books. Those who are interested can also order the reading materials at www.unicef.ph
