I'm gonna put my switch "on" into the lifestyle segment as I got a chance for a 2 day stay in one of the most affordable hotels that you can near the Makati CBD.
About a month ago, I decided for a 2 day stay in Red Planet Hotels Amorsolo as I had 2 straight days of media events in BGC. The said branch was the nearest for those locations and most convenient mainly that it is near the said business district.
I had no problems when I got there although it's my first time to book a hotel with that magnetic/NFC card which you will use for elevators, your key to your room and also as your switch to turn that electricity "on" into the room.
Glad that my room was at the 4th floor and facing a bit of Gil Puyat Avenue. The amenities were already enough for my 48-hour "home away from home" like nice AC, hot and cold showers, plenty number of towels, good running cable TV and a nice comfy bed. The WiFi's password was on my card. The 2-3 mbps speed was good enough to check my social media accounts as well for my blogging chores at that time.
I also chose that location as there's a convenience store for my personal needs mainly food. During my stay, I only need to walk within Dela Rosa Street as I'm already used to walking.
The only thing that I don't like is the inaccuracy (sometimes) of the card when I'm about to go to the elevator. It can be a chore esp. if you already used your 2 hands full of stuff.
Based on my stay, the rate at that time was around Php 1,800+ per night (weekday rate) which is not bad at all. I'll gonna rate my stay of 4.25 out of 5 for my overall experience. You can book via www.redplanethotels with other key locations in the country or better to check out Red Planet Hotels app on Android and iOS as you can save more on rates by registration.
