So far in my tech perspective in the ongoing CES 2016 in Las Vegas that I got impressed by 2016 offerings by Huawei at their recent media event.
First, Huawei Mediapad M2 with 10.1 inch 1920 x 1200 display, a good number of speakers from Harman Kardon, finger print sensor and optional M Pen which is their own version of stylus. Philippines will be one of the first few countries to get in soon with 4 variants: US$349 (2 GB RAM/16 GB ROM, WiFi), US$399 (2 GB RAM/16 GB ROM, LTE), US$419 (3 GB RAM/64 GB ROM, WiFi with M-Pen) and US$469 (3 GB RAM/64 GB ROM, LTE with M-Pen)
Two more versions of Huawei Watch which will fit to ladies. Huawei Watch Jewel and Huawei Watch Elegance both with chic curved design and rose gold case. They also put in with Swarovski Zirconia crystals for a more premium look. They also mentioned that this is the first Android watch with built-in speaker. Prices for the Elegant and Jewel are at US$499 and US$599 respectively.
2016 is a brand new year as Huawei announced their newest color in Huawei Nexus 6P which is Matte Gold.
The main attraction for me is the Huawei Mate 8 which is their follow-up to Mate 7. Huawei Mate 8 specs include Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI,16 nm Kirin 950 octa-core processor (4 Cortex-A72 clocked at 2.3 GHz & 4 Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.8 GHz) with i5 co processor and Mali T880 GPU, 6 inch IPS FHD display, 16 MP rear cam with Sony IMX298 sensor, 8 MP selfie camera, 3 and 4 GB RAM, 32 or 64 GB ROM, optional dual nano SIM (both LTE capable, 1 SIM slot also acts as micro SD slot), quicking charging technology which can charge an entire day of usage for 30 minutes with their 9V/2A charger, measures 157.1 x 80.6 mm. and 4,000 mAh battery. Available colors are champagne gold, space gray, moonlight silver and mocha brown. Philippines is also one of the first few nations to buy this device. Prices will be at 599 euros (for 3 GB RAM/32 GB ROM) and 699 euros (for 4 GB RAM/64 GB ROM)
