I was not there at it's introduction as officially the first smartphone in the country with 1 GHz Intel Sofia dual-core processor. Good thing in their recent media meeting, Ekotek gave me a chance to check out the Ekophone Rogue 3
Here are the front and back portions of the Rogue 3 which is kinda trendy in terms of design. I'm happy that the local mobile phone brand continues to provide the complete specs right there at the packaging
Front: 4 inch WVGA TN display, VGA front camera, Android soft buttons
Back: 2 MP rear cam with flash, single speaker, Ekophone Rogue 3 and Intel logos, removable back cover
Internals: Android 4.4 Kitkat, dual SIM (1 regular, 1 micro), 512 MB RAM, 4 GB ROM, micro SD up to 32 GB, quad band 2G, single band 3G (2100 - which I have to confirm via my test), Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 1,350 mAh removable battery/
Top: 3.5 mm. audio jack and micro USB port
Bottom: Pin hole microphone
Volume rocker at the left, power/unlock button at the right portion
The box also includes earbuds, 1 ampere USB charger, micro USB to USB cable, user guide and Ekotek logo stickers.
First impressions: Like what some of other tech bloggers noticed, it really looks like the other local smartphone with the same specs that was revealed a day after this device was introduced. Expected that it has glossy back cover but the phone still looks presentable.
Watch out for my review of Ekophone Rogue 3 soon.
