UNICEF Heroes for Children Run with Anne Curtis highlights

It was my first run-related coverage for my entire 6 years in blogging and it was for a good cause as last Sunday, UNICEF had their first Heroes For Children in SM Mall of Asia Grounds which led by It's Showtime host/actress/singer Anne Curtis.

The race catered a lot of categories from 500 meter run for children, 3K, 10K and 21K run for all genders. According to Anne, it was sold out as most of her followers on her social media accounts still sending some inquiries on how to be a part of it but she promised to have it again next year with more slots. She organized this event which became a huge successful and orderly event.

There were also a number of brands who became partners of this run event which gave some smile to participants. Of course, UNICEF will be the beneficiary.

In a press event, I was able to ask her (as I already saw her in various running events in her IG account) as she stepped a notch higher to be the organizer on what motivated/inspired her to do this run aside from the beneficiaries. She answered " "Well, nothing else inspires me except for UNICEF. The kids, the children. You know, actually it trigered this when I had my first field (assignment). I got to experience first-hand. The problems, the hardships of children out there & that's what trigered me and inspired me to something to raise funds and that's how it came together".
