I never got a real chance to hold and test this device during it's launch a few months ago. Good thing, one of my fellow tech persons had it. Here's what I have to say about the Cherry Mobile Flare X.
The front portion has 5.5 inch IPS FHD display with 5 MP front camera. The back has 13 MP AF rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, Cherry Mobile and Flare logos. The design is kinda plain but I'll not gonna complain for it's power with MT6752 octa-core processor and it's price tag of Php 6,999.
The top has noise-cancelling mic and 3.5 mm audio jack; micro USB port and pin hole mic at the bottom.
Nothing at the left as you can have the volume rocker and power/unlock button at the right.
I chose not to show the UI of this device as it already had a custom ROM inside. For the camera, good thing that both the 13 and 5 MP cameras are both on 16:9 aspect ratio. One check for this device. Another one that it has unified storage based when I checked the storage section out of 16 GB ROM.
And the camera sample of the 13 MP rear camera sample. Unlike what some may say, for me this is one of the best camera outputs that I saw in a Cherry Mobile device next to my Cherry Mobile Ultra. The pic was taken in a good lighting environment inside a Starbucks branch somewhere in Makati City.
For my first impressions, I had a comfortable time on holding this device for a few minutes. The camera is way above to the latest Cherry Mobile device that I had which is the Infinix Pure. I am still hoping to have a review of this very soon.
